Christina Hobbs

Co-founder/CEO of Verve Super

 

Christina's passion in life is making capital and our financial system work for all people. That means levelling the playing field for women.

As CEO and Co-Founder of Verve Super, Australia's first superannuation fund for women, Christina gets out of bed each day with the mission of building the financial power of women. She is passionate about ethical investment, impact investment and ensuring that capital is used to help build a better world.

Prior to founding Verve, Christina enjoyed ten years working for the United Nations in complex humanitarian emergencies. Her role with the UN focused on leading, in coordination with other humanitarian organisations, governments and private sector operations, to connect the poorest and most vulnerable people in the world to the financial services system, often to provide life-saving assistance and livelihood support.

On the side, Christina enjoys guest lecturing, running for parliament... and skiing big mountains.

Ruth Haffenden

Global Head of Brand and Marketing at Boody 

 

As Boody's Global Head of Brand and Marketing for Australia’s first B-corp underwear brand, sold and loved in 15 countries around the world, it is Ruth’s job to convince people that helping the planet could be as easy as changing their underwear.

Previous creative agency boss of 13 years, turned brand side marketer, Ruth is an outspoken advocate for diversity and sustainability in global advertising, and is out to change the game.

As part of the global leadership team, Ruth is responsible for brand and communications as well as media, digital and CX outcomes in Boody’s key territories including ANZ, U.S, Canada and Europe. As a purpose-led organisation in high growth mode, Ruth is responsible for connecting marketing and commercial outcomes whilst keeping the customer (and the planet) at the heart of every business decision.

For most of the past ten years, Tim has worked to help evolve the Opera House’s digital marketing capabilities through training and culture, process, strategy and technology. He's now working with one of Australia's most exciting startups, Heaps Normal to help evolve Australian drinking culture.
